Final Fourcast
After what many have deemed a lackluster March Madness, the tournament has reached its Final Four. For the first time since 2008—and only the second time in history—all four No. 1 seeds have advanced to the Final Four.
Auburn vs Florida
The first matchup of the 2025 Final Four features an SEC showdown between the Auburn Tigers and the Florida Gators. Florida has been one of the most electrifying teams of the tournament, fueled by an elite offense that analytics sites like KenPom and EvanMiya rate just below Duke’s but slightly ahead of Auburn’s. Their high-powered attack has made them a major talking point throughout March Madness.
However, Auburn cannot be overlooked. The Tigers were ranked No. 1 in the nation for much of the season before a late stumble in their final five games, dropping three. Led by veteran star Johni Broome, Auburn boasts experience and resilience—two qualities that can be invaluable on the sport’s biggest stage.
That said, Florida already defeated Auburn earlier in the season, and the Gators have only improved since then. Given their momentum and offensive firepower, I believe Florida will prevail once again and punch their ticket to the National Championship.
Duke vs Houston
Duke has stormed through both the ACC and NCAA tournaments with remarkable dominance, led by standout freshman Cooper Flagg. Their gritty, physical offensive style has overwhelmed opponents all season, making them one of the most formidable teams in the country. However, they now face their toughest challenge yet—Houston, the nation’s top-ranked defense.
This matchup is the ultimate clash of strengths: Duke leads the country in offensive rating at 130.1, while Houston boasts the best defensive rating at 87.4. But this game is far from a one-dimensional battle. Both teams rank in the top 10 nationally on both sides of the ball, proving their balance and adaptability.
While Houston's stifling defense will test Duke like no team before, I believe Duke’s superior coaching and star power will be the deciding factors. In a game that promises to be a chess match of elite talent and strategy, I see Duke emerging victorious and advancing to the National Championship.
Duke vs Florida
Duke vs. Florida. Blue Devils vs. Gators. ACC Champions vs. SEC Champions. A battle of two college basketball powerhouses for the 2025 National Championship. This matchup promises to be a thriller, featuring two of the most explosive offenses in the country. Duke has thrived all season behind the consistent brilliance of Cooper Flagg and Kon Kneuppel—two stars who embrace the big stage and deliver when it matters most. Meanwhile, Florida counters with its lethal five-out offensive scheme, led by Walter Clayton Jr., who erupted for 30 points in the Elite Eight against Texas Tech.
Both teams have the firepower to win, but I believe the difference will come down to coaching. Jon Scheyer has guided Duke through every challenge this season, and his ability to make adjustments in high-pressure moments will be crucial. When the dust settles, I see the Blue Devils cutting down the nets as the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Champions.
